Our Story:Outer Edge Air began eight years ago with a dream. During the long winter months in Wisconsin, artist Jason Rogers longed for the sandy beaches of the Caribbean. He experimented with spray paint on mini blinds in an attempt to bring new life in to his home. He created an array of tropical scenes on the blades of what was once a common window treatment. These blinds created the illusion of looking through the window and in to a sunnier and much warmer world. Jason then started using an artist’s tool called an airbrush. This gave him the ability to achieve more detail and capture the essence of the natural world in a whole new way. His growing talents with the airbrush gave him the capability to take normal living environments to the outer edge. The functional window art had an enormous impact on everyone that viewed them. It was something they had never imagined, but the colorful tropics had the most impact on Jason. Like many people, he looked forward to his time to relax after a long day of working. There was something to be said about coming home and escaping out the window on to his personal beach. It was more than relaxing, it was therapeutic. The artwork affected him so much that he wanted to share this idea and his experience with the world. With encouragement from friends and family, Jason decided to broaden his inspiration beyond his own living room and in to the homes of others. He began painting custom scenes for people that expressed interest in having their very own window get-a-way. He then set up a kiosk in a local shopping mall displaying his portable paradises. The public’s reaction to his innovation was more than Jason expected. Soon people were dreaming up there own ideal vacation spots and having Jason paint them. A year later, Jason answered a calling from Philadelphia and took a job in design and business management. He left Wisconsin with his paints over his shoulder and his marinade of dreams. It was in Philadelphia that Jason’s art form evolved from mini blinds in to entire rooms. The idea had grown from a small seed and blossomed in to a room where the sandy beaches and bright foliage encompassed every inch of wall space. Now it was possible to physically step foot on to the island instead of only viewing it through the window. After successfully completing his 360 degree environment, Jason took off full speed and tackled other residential projects. “Interior Landscaping” was born and he continued to bring the outdoors, indoors. Jason returned to Wisconsin to take on local businesses and breathe a breath of fresh air in to their establishments. He went from business to business with his portfolio and a vision. Soon Jason was booking projects all over the area. With an overwhelming response from the businesses and their clientele, Jason knew he was on to something. After a year of interior landscaping, Jason had built an extensive portfolio. His work spanned from homes, clothing stores, nightclubs, gift shops, home/car audio stores, and even pet stores. Another step in the evolution of Outer Edge Air was on the horizon. Today the story continues and Outer Edge Air is still reaching beyond the limits, to share a dream that brings the beauty of nature indoors as a timeless work of art.
